TV9 Telugu is a 24-hour Telugu-language news channel and the flagship channel of the TV9 network for south Indian state Andhra Pradesh, for Telangana state, they have launched a separate channel Jai Telangana. The channel was launched in 2004, thus making it one of the oldest Telugu news channels (alongside ETV2—now ETV Andhra Pradesh—and the now-defunct Gemini News), and also one of the most-watched.

TV9 Telugu briefly experimented with an HD feed in 2013[1] before fully launching it in 2015[2] on some cable TV platforms in the Telugu-speaking states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh (TV9 HD was never made available on nationwide satellite platforms). However, TV9 HD ceased transmission not long after.
