TVE Brasil was a Brazilian public television broadcaster located in Rio de Janeiro. Founded in November 2, 1975, it was owned by Associação de Comunicação Educativa Roquette Pinto (ACERP), until the public foundation merged with Brasilia's Radiobrás (owners of TV Nacional), creating the Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC) and merging the two channels into a new one called TV Brasil.

At some point in January 1997, TVE do Rio de Janeiro changed its brand, which remained until March of the same year. The logo was created by graphic designer "Rogério Duarte", as he adopted the Brazilian flag, the TV screen and the camera's eye as references for the brand. He sought to convey the notion of movement, openness and energy.
- "This set achieves its effectiveness maximum symbolic, through the use associated with other complementary signs, such as colors, sounds and movements" - explains Duarte.
