TVNZ 1 was launched originally as NZBC. The first station to open was AKTV2 in Auckland, followed by CHTV3 (Christchurch), and WNTV1 (Wellington) in 1961, and DNTV2 (Dunedin) in 1962.
Television One and South Pacific Television companies merged into TVNZ and this is the Television One's first logo.
There's also a red-colored version of this logo
TVNZ went into a network-wide rebrand on 1 October 2016, renaming TV One to TVNZ 1.
