TVP1 is the flagship television channel of Telewizja Polska. Launched in October 25, 1952 (19:00 Polish time (1:00 Eastern Time)) as Telewizja Polska. It is the first television channel of Poland, and the only television channel of Poland until the launch of TVP2 in 1970.
TP1 used this logo on its idents from 1987–1990. Although the new ident from 1990 featured a new logo, this logo was still shown on program schedules broadcast before closedown until the new logo and idents from 1992 were introduced.

With the rise of commercial television, the logo was designed by Andrzej Budek in 1991 and next year went to air. [1]
The idents feature no traces of the logo, as the new logo of the channel (and TVP itself) was meant to be implemented in Christmas 2002, but for some reason the rebrand was postponed to January 2003 and later, ultimately to March 7, 2003.
In 2003, the new fantastic geometric broadcast graphics was created by Schwartz.
In September 2004, TVP1 rebranded with a look themed around nature, and stylised specimen plants. The look was called "Flowers". It was created by Schwartz, and these idents and jingles for TVP1 were awarded a seminar of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) in Dubrovnik.
TVP1 introduced a new graphics package on September 26, 2015. They are based on a blue rhombus, which has been taken from the number 1 in the logo. Ubuntu is the on-screen typeface.
