On March 3rd, 2022, Dozhd temporarily shut down the operation of its news division because of pressure from the Russian government for its stance on the invasion of Ukraine. In June, Latvian government gave the channel the tv license to operate in the country.

Dozhd relaunched its operations as TVRain on July 18th, 2022.
On December 6th, 2022, TVRain lost its Latvian TV license because of host's comments during a news program five days prior. Since January 10, 2023 channel broadcasts from The Nederlands.
