TV Azteca (abbreviated from Televisión Azteca, S.A.B. de C.V.) is the second-largest mass media network (and before 1993, it was Imevisión) in Mexico, owned by Grupo Salinas. Since its creation, its channels have been separated in twain between Azteca Uno and Azteca 7; created two more national networks afterwards: ADN 40 and A+, including three international networks outside of Mexico.

Before the remaining stations as part of "Imevisión" also entered the tender for the media package, Javier García Rivera designed a logo representing a stylized eagle which is still in use in a present day. Televisión Azteca was founded on August 2, 1993 by Ricardo Salinas Pliego after privatizing Imevisión.

When Grupo Salinas was the winner of the media package, some elements were preserved, among them the name of “Televisión Azteca”, as well as the icon of the company, but it was not until the end of 1993 when it was decided to modify it for the first time to "TV Azteca".

1994-2011

In the search for creating a fresher and younger image and influenced by a commercial alliance with the American company NBC, which presupposed the purchase of 10% to 20% of the television by the NBC, in mid-1994 the color was colored eagle logo, taking five of the six colors of the NBC Logo that had Canal Trece, only in reverse order: Green, blue, purple, red and yellow.

1996–2011

In this year, its last modification is made after 2 years of giving color to his logo with the same eagle, the words "Televisión Azteca" are abreviated again to "TV Azteca" which is similar to the 1993 logo still retaining it's font text and color.

On Monday, March 7, 2011, the logo was changed and the company's brand was renamed simply as «Azteca»; using the slogan «We are more than television». The purple color was established as the background color, the abbreviations «TV» were removed, the typography was modified and the eagle logo tips were rounded.
