TV Excelsior was a Brazilian television network founded by Mario Wallace Simonsen, and it was started the broadcast in transmission on July 9, 1960.

On October 1^st, 1970, the channel was shut down by Brazilian government due to TV Excelsior's bankruptcy.

After the shutdown of the network, on March 15^th, 1975, TV Excelsior's owned-and-operated station in Rio was aquired by TV Educativa, while another owned-and-operated station in São Paulo was acquired by TV Manchete São Paulo on June 5^th, 1983.
