TV Excelsior was a Brazilian television network founded by Mario Wallace Simonsen, and it was started the broadcast in transmission on July 9, 1960.

On October 1st, 1970, the channel was shut down by Brazilian government due to TV Excelsior's bankruptcy.

After the shutdown of the network, on March 15th, 1975, TV Excelsior's owned-and-operated station in Rio was aquired by TV Educativa, while another owned-and-operated station in São Paulo was acquired by TV Manchete São Paulo on June 5th, 1983.
