On 8 May 2020, the regional editions resumed broadcasts through their respective Facebook pages and the ABS-CBN Regional YouTube channel. However, on 15 July 2020, ABS-CBN announced that the company will go into retrenchment on 31 August in light of the denial of its bid for a legislative franchise, laying-off much of its employees. It was further revealed on 17 July 2020, during an interview on Failon Ngayon sa TeleRadyo that the regional division of ABS-CBN News will fold after regular business hours on the said retrenchment date. Included in the shutdown is the halting of all its regional programs and their respective TV Patrol editions—their last broadcasts are scheduled on 28 August 2020.
