In September 2008, a new Tampa Bay Rowdies team and crest were unveiled. The crest featured a star to commemorate the 1975 Soccer Bowl championship won by the previous team.
2010–2011[]
However, a dispute over the name Tampa Bay Rowdies led to the team being called FC Tampa Bay.
2011–2013[]
The naming dispute was later resolved and the old name was restored.
2013–[]
The Rowdies won the 2012 NASL Championship, and in 2013 the club announced that the badge would now feature two green stars.
