Tata Sky is an Indian direct-to-home satellite TV provider jointly owned by Tata and the Star TV network, which was owned by 21st Century Fox until 2018, thereby making it a sister company of Sky Limited.
Sky Limited was acquired by Comcast in 2018, but Tata Sky remained with 21st Century Fox until 20 March 2019, when it (including Star TV) was acquired by The Walt Disney Company.
Tata Sky commenced operations in August 2006.
On 24 September 2016, shortly after its tenth anniversary in August 2016, the Tata Sky logo was refreshed with Sky wordmark was replaced to match its former sister company Sky logo.
