This logo was designed by Julián Naranjo and the agencies Naranjo Diseño and Procorp[1]. In 1991 it was renamed as Compañía de Telecomunicaciones de Chile (Chile Telecommunications Company), keeping the CTC name and logo.

In 1999, CTC adopted the name of the main brand, Telefónica.

After complaints of many companies (such as Telefónica del Sur and Telefónica Manquehue) arguing that Telefónica was a generic word, the name was changed to Telefónica CTC Chile.
