Televisa is a Mexican media company, founded by Emilio Azcárraga Milmo on January 8, 1973 with a fusion of two companies from Mexico City. Televisa is the largest commercial TV network in Mexico and the largest commercial TV network of Spanish-Speaking World.

Telesistema Mexicano

1950-1973

Televisa began as Telesistema Mexicano on March 26th, 1955 by Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta and Ernesto Barrientos Reyes; TM had three national channels. The logo showed as a curve that is with the letter "T" together in the top left, and the "M" was next to the curve.

Televisión Independiente de México

1968–1973

Another company named Televisión Independiente de México was originally founded as as a one channel in 1968. The logo consisted as the T, I and M letters were merged into a single form, and the white circle covered the letter I letting two remaining letters.

Televisa

Both Telesistema Mexicano and Televisión Independiente de México were fused into a single broadcasting company, and rebranded as Televisión Vía Satélite or better known as Televisa on January 8, 1973.

1973–2000

This was first logo with the eye symbol inspiration from CBS making as an orange oval broken into ten lines with the sun in the scenery. The eye logo was designed by Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, symbolizing as the spectator's vision to watch the world throughout the television.

1973-1981

The 1973 logo was with wordmark using as a separated name as "Tele Visa" that was stacked without the letter "I", and using the same name of the defunct Venezuelan TV channel. The letter "T" was an two striped cross unified with the letter "V" and "I" as the letter "t" in lowercase.

1981–2000

The wordmark was discontinued in 1981, and the empty space of the sun was colored yellow. This logo was still used as a secondary variation, seen in some idents until 2000.

2001–present

Televisa launched a new logo on January 1st, 2001, putting eight lines instead of ten, and it's similar to the previous logo, just the frequent changes from the next two logos.

2001–2016

Changes include the sun now being a 3D sphere, which in turn making the logo an eye, and the wordmark was Helvetica Black.

2016–present

On January 16th, 2016, a refresh of the previous logo removes the "sun" part and it's now a single flat color. This was seen used on television programs, kids' television series, telenovelas, game shows and other programs used by the network Las Estrellas.
