Televisora Venezolana Social (also known as TVes/TVES) is a Venezuelan public television channel was launched on May 28, 2007 as the state-owned replacement of the privately-owned Radio Caracas Televisión after Venezuela's leftist and then-president, Hugo Chavez, was forced RCTV, which opposed the regime, off the air and seized that network's equipment and infrastructure for the use of TVES.
