1990s-present[]
This was the first official logo for the band, and was used on the bottom of the band's classic tarot design t-shirt. It would then be used on the band's self-titled album released in 2001. It would then be used on the website until 2006.
The band also used their name written in Burton's Nightmare font as a secondary logo.
2005-2012, 2013-2015[]
This logo was introduced in 2005 alongside the press for the film Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, though would be brought into official use in 2006 when the film and soundtrack were released. Unlike the previous logo, it wouldn't be used on the website, as the website would feature 'Tenacious D' written in Old English Text. Festival posters, such as Reading Festival in the UK, would also use Old English Text.
The logo would be revived in 2013 and 2015 for the Old School Acoustic Style tours, as well as being used for 2014 dates in Colorado and a one-off apperenace in Austria in 2015.
2012-2014[]
Used on their third album, Rize of the Fenix (2012). This logo would be used for the subsequent 2012 tour and some dates of the 2013 tour, as well as their 2014 Asian tour. It would be replaced with the second logo on materials following 2014.
