The Box launched a new look on September 21, 2001. It is the second version of the boxes and the slogan Smash Hits You Control.
New idents with a new look, launched on July 1, 2002. The new look was created by Robot Productions.[1]
2004–2013[]

The Box got a rebrand. It is the third version of the boxes and the 1992 logo returned with the box as an O in the word. Also it's back to a three-dimensional logo.
On 1 November 2020, The Box was renamed temporarily to BoXmas. [2]
At the end of January 2024, Channel 4 announced that The Box and its sister channels would be closed within a year as part of the company's 2030 growth plan[1].
The Box was closed at midnight on 30 June 2024.
