Video Jukebox Network (branded simply as The Jukebox Network on-screen) was a broadcast, cable, and satellite network launched in 1985 by Steve Peters.

The Box

1992–1998

While the network itself was still called Video Jukebox Network, its on-screen branding was simplified to The Box in 1992.

The Box Music Network

1998–2000

In 1998, The Box rebranded as The Box Music Network.

In 1999, Steve Peters sold The Box to MTV Networks, which replaced all affiliates of the network with MTV2 on January 1, 2001, and started a process of winding down operations of its over-the-air network, which was completed in 2015.
