On July 31, 2020, [[Foxtel]] announced that The Comedy Channel and [[Fox Hits]] would cease broadcasting on September 1 and merge to become [[Fox Comedy (Australia)|Fox Comedy]]. The Comedy Channel's programming was dispersed across sister channels [[FOX8]] and [[Fox Showcase]], as well as [[ViacomCBS]]' upcoming channel [[10 Shake]].
