On August 29, 2023, The Guard announced that they will not compete in the 2024/2025 VCT Americas league after failing to agree to the Team Participation Agreement with Riot Games after winning the Valorant Challengers Ascension: Americas final. Their spot was later given to G2 Esports.
On September 1, 2023, The Guard released their roster, marking the end of The Guard.
