The Schechter Group was a New York-based design and branding consultancy firm, founded in 1962 as Schechter & Luth by ex-Lippincott & Margulies employees Alvin Schechter & Philip J. Luth. After the departure of Philip Luth and Alvin Katz, the firm was renamed. The Schechter Group was acquired by Omnicom Group in 1988, and it became a subsidiary of Interbrand im 1995. It operated as Interbrand Schechter until 1998, when it was folded into the main agency.
