With the re-release of The Sims 2 as the Legacy Collection on January 31, 2025, a new logo for the game was revealed, with flatter design and using the plumbob from the current The Sims branding, although it's used only for marketing as the game continues to use the 2004 logo.

During the development of the GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox release of The Sims 2, the game was known as The Sims 2 Console and used a modified The Sims 2 logo, but it went unused as the final console release of The Sims 2 used the 2004 logo.
