On August 15, 2005, a new logo and on-air look was introduced, designed by the British branding agency Lambie-Nairn.

Since 2024, the majority of The Weather Channel's digital assets, their domain "weather.com", their former parent company (now The Weather Company), and their former parent's assets are now owned by Francisco Partners (previously IBM from 2016 to 2024). Francisco Partners also owns The Weather Channel name and logo, but licenses the branding and weather data out to Entertainment Studios, which has been operating The Weather Channel since 2018.
