In 2005 BellSouth was renamed Movistar, this logo was used for almost 15 years, because it was still found in many departments of the company until its renaming as Tigo in 2020.

In 2019 Telefónica sold their Movistar brand and operations in Panama, Costa Rica and Nicaragua to the Luxemboug-based teleco Millicom (Tigo).
These flat logos were only used in certain stores and departments until their rebranding as Tigo in 2020

A year after Millicom bought Movistar Panama's operations, millicom started replacing the Movistar brand with the Tigo brand. Tigo launched oficially on Panama on August 1, 2020.
