On December 12, 2024, co-founder and CEO of OverActive Media Adam Adamou announced on his X that OverActive Media would be "taking a break from Overwatch in 2025." Adamou also stated in another post that if they were to return to competitive Overwatch, they will not compete under Toronto Defiant, marking the end of the Toronto Defiant brand.
