1977–1986[]
The Kijang was first introduced in June 1977 as a small pickup truck, with the wagons based on the pickup trucks followed a year later which were done by local body manufacturers.
1986–1996[]
The Kijang wagons with this logo were known as Super Kijang (for Deluxe grade) and Kijang Grand Extra (for GL grade). At that time, the Kijang wagons based on the pickup trucks were still built by local body manufacturers with technical assist from Toyota.
1997–2004 (wagon), 1997–2007 (pickup truck)[]
The Kijang wagons with this logo were known as Capsule Kijang, for the first time the wagons were fully assembled alongside the pickup trucks by Toyota itself, not by local body manufacturers anymore. The wagons were replaced by Kijang Innova in 2004, while the pickup trucks continued to built until 2007.
This logo continued to be used on carpets of the Indonesian market first generation Kijang Innova from 2004 until 2015.

Since the introduction of the Kijang Innova in 2004, the Kijang became nameplate only, while continued to be a mid-size 7-seater passenger wagon with rear-wheel-drive IMV-based body-on-frame platform before switched to front-wheel-drive TNGA-C monocoque platform with Kijang Innova Zenix in 2022.
