On 4 August 2006, Kompas Gramedia's 49% stake in TV7 was acquired by Trans Corp, and on 15 December 2006, TV7 was relaunched as Trans7 in the Trans TV's fifth anniversary event called Penta5 Trans TV.

On 15 December 2013, Trans7 revised its logo during Trans Corp's 12th anniversary called Trans untuk Indonesia. The current logo uses the 2011 "TRANS" logotype, a thinner separator symbol and the slightly bold "7" letter, while the blue rectangle symbol became flat.
