After Alfa Supermarket's acquisition by Carrefour in 2008, most of the Alfa Supermarket stores were converted into Carrefour, and the rest of them were converted into Carrefour Express in the same year.

In 2021, due to the cessation of the use of the Carrefour brand rights by its owner in France, Carrefour Express and Carrefour Market, along with some Alfa Retailindo-owned Carrefour stores, were rebranded as Transmarket. The last 2 stores that are branded as Transmarket, in Pengayoman and Tamalanrea, both in Makassar, South Sulawesi, which both formerly Carrefour stores, were closed in 2025, while former Carrefour stores like in Grogol, Sukoharjo, Central Java that was branded as Transmarket is recently became Transmart stores. Some Alfa Retailindo-owned Transmart stores like in Maguwoharjo, Sleman, Yogyakarta, in Dukuh Kupang, Surabaya, East Java, and in Blimbing, Malang, East Java (the former two are part of Transmall and the latter formerly Transmarket) are now became Super Indo stores that were opened in November 2025.
