The channel started broadcasting on February 11, 1981, becoming the first television channel in Paraguay to broadcast entirely in color. Its founder was businessman Nicolás Bó Parodi.

In an event, the new name of RPC Paraguay was announced: Trece, it launched on December 2, 2019. The name was chosen because only a few people referred to the channel as RPC.
2025–present (secondary)[]
Thirteen days after the start of digital switchover in Paraguay, Trece unveiled a new logo. As of now, this logo is only used on its social media.
