In 2000, Charoen Pokphand acquired Wireless Communication Services Co., Ltd. (WCS) in order to start a mobile network on the 1800MHz frequency. Orange (France Télécom) exited the joint venture in 2004, selling its stake to TelecomAsia Corp. (now True Corporation); the Orange brand continued until 2006.

2006–2009[]
TA Orange rebranded to TrueMove in 2006 to coincide with TelecomAsia’s rebranding to True Corporation.
