In 2001, the emblem logo was introduced. The logo was modeled after the Mole Antonelliana which is one of the largest structures in Italy and the world.

The mascots for the Games were revealed on September 28, 2004. Their names are Neve and Gliz. Neve represents snow while Gliz represents ice cube. They also were popular with Italian children and adults before the Games.
