Turkcell is the largest telecommunications company in Turkey, ahead of Vodafone and Türk Telekom. It also owns a mobile network (KKTCell) in North Cyprus, as well as Lifecell — formerly life:) — in Ukraine. In addition, it operates the BiP messaging app.
Until 2020, the Swedish telecom multinational Telia Company had a 47% stake in it.
