The UKTV network was launched on the 1st November 1997 when the preexisting UK Gold channel was joined by UK Style, UK Horizons and UK Arena. UKTV's original design was created by Lambie-Nairn, based on the recent BBC redesign.
The UKTV network got an updated look by Lambie-Nairn on the 7th May 2001.
On the 8th March 2004, UKTV was relaunched with all its channels changing the prefix in their name from "UK" to "UKTV". The rebranding was done by Dunning Eley Jones, whose founders had worked on the network's previous identity.
Between 2007 and 2009, all UKTV's channels were rebranded with individual names without their umbrella brand.
Coinciding with its 21st birthday, UKTV unveiled a new logo on 18th March 2013.
