Revision as of 18:51, 18 October 2020
2004–2010
The first version of Ubuntu was released on 20th October 2004, with this logo. The logo is meant to symbolise freedom, collaboration, precision and reliability. This logo is still used in the Mahjongg game in the distro.
2010–present
The new logo was released alongside Ubuntu Lucid Lynx (10.04). It puts the graphical part of the previous logo in a circle, and changes the typeface to 'ubuntu'.
