Ultrabook

Intel introduced the Ultrabook platform for high-end premium thin and light laptops designed to compete with MacBook Air. It is also a successor to the Intel Centrino mobile platform. Throughout the logo's lifespan, Intel required that manufacturers meet certain specifications to market a laptop as an Ultrabook.

Although the Ultrabook platform is now being discontinued, Intel continued to used that brand for thin and light laptops with Intel processors until its usage was discontinued and replaced by Intel Evo platform and Intel NUC Laptop Kits in 2020. After the discontinuation of the branding, it became a generic trademark term to specify any thin and light laptops regardless on what processors it uses.
