On September 22, 2022, they announced that all Ministop stores in the Philippines will be rebranded as Uncle John's starting from January 1, 2023.[1] The name, coming from the fried chicken brand sold in those stores, was chosen after topping the naming contest which they earlier ran. The contest came to effect after Robinsons Retail Holdings acquired the remaining 40% interest from Ministop in February the same year.[2]

On October 11, a store in Pampanga was one of the first to implement the rebrand.[3] On December 19 and 20, its website and social media pages applied the Uncle John's brand respectively.
