UniCredit Bank is a major bank in Romania. It started in 1991 as Banca Țiriac, which eventually merged with HVB Bank Romania to form HVB-Țiriac Bank. It later merged with UniCredit to form UniCredit Țiriac Bank and lastly got rebranded to UniCredit the second time.

On August 31, 2006, Banca Țiriac merged with HVB Bank Romania to form HVB-Țiriac Bank.

In 2003, UniCredit had joined Romania. For a very short period of time, they were named UniCredito.

Following UniCredito's renaming in Italy, the latter was also renamed to UniCredit Romania in Romania.
UniCredit Țiriac Bank[]
2007–2015[]
On June 1, 2007, HVB-Țiriac Bank merged with UniCredit to form UniCredit Țiriac Bank, dropping HVB's name.
Despite the fact that the corporate name was UniCredit Țiriac Bank at the time, there were some locations that were known simply as "UniCredit" or "UniCredit Bank".

2015–2018[]
On August 18, 2015, UniCredit Țiriac Bank was renamed to UniCredit Bank, reviving the old UniCredit name that the bank had used years prior.
2018–present[]
In 2018, the logo was flattened.
On October 23, 2023, UniCredit Group purchased Alpha Bank and its Romanian bank will merge with the latter in 2025.
