In 2001, MGM left UIP as they began distributing their films internationally through 20th Century Fox (later known as 20th Century Studios). As of 2021, the UIP name is used for smaller countries in Europe and most of South America, as well as Asian countries, like Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand.
