PBS Kids Sprout
2005–2013
PBS Kids Sprout was launched on September 26, 2005 by Sesame Workshop, PBS, Comcast, and HIT Entertainment as a preschooler oriented network. This logo was designed by Primal Screen. It also has the PBS kids logotype in the flower.
Sprout
2013–2017
The logo was slightly modified in November 2013, which was an alternate version of the 2005 logo without the "PBS Kids" logotype in the green flower. Following Comcast's purchase of NBCUniversal, PBS, Sesame Workshop, and HiT Entertainment divested the channel, leaving NBCU to reach full ownership of the channel in 2013. Sprout used to be Universal Kids' preschool block until January 2018, when the block was renamed as Universal Kids Preschool.
Universal Kids
2017–2019
On May 1, 2017, NBCUniversal announced that Sprout would be relaunched as Universal Kids in an effort to broaden the network's programming. The logo resembles the Universal Pictures' logo. The rebrand took effect on September 9. The lines of the globe usually were thin.
2019–present
On April 12, 2019, Universal Kids unveiled a new logo for the first time since rebranding to its new name in 2017. The text’s font is changed to a modified version of Frankfuther, and the text is stacked instead of being wrapped horizontally. The arches on the Universal Pictures' globe now have thicker lines, end with rounded corners, and are recolored yellow.
