This logo is historically out of place. Universal turned 75 in 1987, as they were founded in 1912 a month after Paramount Pictures' founding, and in 1987 they celebrated their 75th anniversary, so it is somewhat late, and did not turn 75 in 1990, they were turning 78 instead, but this could be the anniversary of when Universal City Studios opened (in 1915).

1997–2012

Following the 1996 replacement of MCA by Universal City Studios, a new logo used introduced in 1997. Despite the change in 2012 as well as its eventual breakup, this logo is still used by Universal Music Group.
