In June 2024, Media Capital announced that, in September, TVI Ficção would be relaunched as an alternative to TVI and CNN Portugal.^[1] Later, in July 9, the relaunch date was brought earlier to August 8.^[2] In July 13, it was confirmed that the the channel will be named V+TVI.^[3] The logo was leaked in July 24. In August 1, the relaunch date was delayed to August 9, being this the official date.^[4]
