This image was captured from a VHS rip of a recorded music video. This was the logo for VH1 Soul when it's carriage expanded sometime in May 2000. When this logo was used, the channel also featured bumpers of a Black woman with a big afro (in a black and white background) being shown a collage of music videos from the 70s to 90s. Since the channel was still commercial-free during this time, these 5 second to 90 second bumpers would be displayed in-between videos instead of commercials.

2002–2006[]

The familiar tree logo was introduced in 2002. This logo coincided with the channel's shift of focus towards newer & alternative soul music.

2006–2015[]

VH1 Soul

VH1 Soul revised their logo in February 2006. The rebrand coincided with the channel's transition from a randomized playlist to various themed hour-long blocks of music videos. By this time, the channel began to accept regular advertising.

2015[]

Sometime in 2015, VH1 Soul made a minor edit to their logo, changing the VH1 font to the current version introduced in 2013. This logo was only used on their Facebook account, and the previous logo was still used on the air and online.
