Canvas[]
1997–2008[]
Canvas launched in December 1997, replacing BRTN TV2 along with Ketnet. The new identity was created by Lambie-Nairn (also designed the TV1 and Ketnet's logos). The name "Canvas" is meant to symbolize an empty canvas "waiting to be filled with colour and movement".
In 2008, Canvas+ is launched.
The idents featured a mirror in the shape of the logo filmed around Flanders.
New idents were made by Red Bee Media in 2005.
2008–2015[]
In January 1, 2015, Eén+ and Canvas+ are relaunched replacing Op 12.
2015–2023[]
2015–2020[]
The new logo was designed by Why Not Associates (also designed the new Eén logo). The logo font is called Gotham.
2020–2023[]
In the autumn of 2020, Canvas received a branding refresh which resulted in a redesigned logo, a slimmed-down version of the 2015 logo. This time, the two rectangles are 20% less thicker than the original.
VRT Canvas[]
2023–present[]
On 4 September 2023, Canvas was given the VRT prefix and was renamed to VRT Canvas.[1]
