In 1986, the Vancouver 86ers founded, and joined the Canadian Soccer League.
Vancouver Whitecaps (second era)[]
2001-2010[]
The club rebranded to Vancouver Whitecaps in 2001. In 2010, the Vancouver Whitecaps, by now in the USSF D2 Pro League, joined Major League Soccer and took on the name Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
