Vijay Music is a Tamil music channel from the Star TV network. It was launched on 4 October 2020, and is Star’s third channel in Tamil after Star Vijay and Vijay Super , as well as its second regional music channel after Star Maa Music . Its competitors include Raj Musix Tamil , Sun Music , Isaiaruvi and Jaya Max .
2020–present
Vijay Music was originally scheduled to be launched along with four other channels on 1 February 2020, along with a rebranding of Star Gold , and the renaming of Movies OK to Star Gold 2 .[1] [2] However, their launch was indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3]
Nevertheless, Vijay Music was launched on 4 October 2020 during the launch of Season 4 of Bigg Boss Tamil.[4] Its logo is similar to what was introduced by Jalsha Movies , and later copied briefly by Star Maa Gold .
