Virgin Direct launched in March 1995 in partnership with Norwich Union offering Personal Equity Plans.

Virgin Money was originally the name given to a Virgin-operated price comparison website.

2006-2008

2008-2012

2012-present

Virgin Money underwent a rapid expansion in 2012 when it bought Northern Rock. They were bought by CYBG, owner of Yorkshire and Clydesdale Banks, in 2018.
