InterCity West Coast[]
1994–1997[]
The initial shadow franchise created ready for sell off traded as InterCity West Coast. Most publicity used generic InterCity branding, but the West Coast logotype was also used in some places, such as on reservation tickets.
Virgin Trains West Coast[]
Generic Virgin branding was applied to some items in the earliest days of Virgin ownership, prior to introduction of the Virgin Trains logo for both Virgin-operated rail franchises.

Subtle edits to the logo made in 2006 include changes to the Virgin signature and typeface, in line with other parts of the Virgin Group, and adding a 3D texture to the logo.
