As Gray purchased WCTV in Tallahassee in 1996, Gray sold WALB to Cosmos Broadcasting, the broadcasting division of The Liberty Corporation, in 1998.
2003–present[]
Liberty merged with Raycom Media in 2005; as a result, sold WFXL to Barrington Broadcasting. Raycom then merged with Gray in 2019, returning WALB back to the original ownership that brought it on the air.
