On December 1,1995.WPTY Became a ABC Affiliate, it also added The WB as a secondary affiliate and aired WB programming from 11pm-1am.

On June 1, 2013, WPTY changed its call letters to WATN and its branding to Local 24. Along with the change, the station (along with sister stations WLMT and WJKT) moved to new facility in Northeast Memphis and debuted a new set and new graphics.
