Following the announcement of the shut down of UPN (whose programming would be merged with The WB to form The CW), all Fox-owned UPN stations, as well as a few non-Fox owned stations including WBXH-CA, dropped the UPN name and logo from their on-air branding. WBXH changed its branding from "UPN the Block" to "WBXH the Block". Note that "the Block" square was changed after four years from a white background to a blue logo despite keeping the same font. This logo was still seen on the sign in front of the station's studios until around 2019.

On September 2012, WBXH was rebranded from "My BR TV" to "WBXH Channel 16" with the slogan, "Where X marks the spot". The "X" is repurposed from the logos of sister station WAFB's "9 News Extra" and "9 Sports Extra" brands that were also rebranded around the same time.
