On June 25, 2005, Radio One swapped the formats of WDMK and WDTJ. As a result, the WDMK call letters and "old-school" format moved from 102.7 to 105.9 frequency, while the Urban AC format moved from 105.9 to the 102.7 frequency. The station then adopted the call letters WHTD and the on-air moniker "Hot 102-7".

2011–2018[]
On October 21, 2011, Radio One announced that they will operate WGPR, a station that is locally-owned under a local marketing agreement. On Monday October 24, WGPR discarded the Urban AC format, two days later on October 26, Radio One moved the Urban Comtemporary format from WHTD to WGPR. WHTD adopted the Urban Gospel format along with the moniker Praise 102.7 and the new call letters WPZR on October 31, at Midnight.
