In 1993, WFLD visually de-emphasized the use of references to channel 32, which became simply known as '''Fox Chicago'''. Similarly in 1995, [[WTXF-TV]] would perform the same de-emphasis on references to channel number 29, which would later be reverted back in 2003, however, in the case of WFLD, it was short-lived until 1994.
